Rattie Story?

Hi Annie,

First, I want to say thank you for keeping the Ratter Chatter going, I truly look forward to getting it every month.
I have attached a story I read on line. I wanted you to see it in case you missed seeing it last week.
I know the article does not say what the dog is mixed with but I think it looks and sounds like a rattie.
I hope you enjoy it and possibly would consider including the info in the Ratter Chatter.

Rat Terrier Sighting!

Speaking of ResQ's entry for the Best Bully Sticks Giveaway, has anyone else noticed that the dog
on their banner for the contest is a rattie? (If it looks like one, an it stands up like one,
an it has all the spots and ears...why then it MUST BE ONE!)

How Phart began

This is how PHART began: When I was on AOL, I hosted a "Rat Chat" at 5 p.m. Pacific time on Mondays.
(I still have the poster I used to display at the pet expos I would attend with rescue!)
Does anyone remember that?? I so looked forward to that chat. We made some great friends!

Annie had the first Rat Terrier message board, which is still going strong today!

Back when Yahoo groups was E-Groups (remember that??) I started a Rat Terrier group.
I couldn't decide what to call it. My good friend Sue suggested "PHART-People Honoring American Rat Terriers".
ha! Brilliant! And so began PHART. Some of the original members (who are still here today)
were Annie, Janella, and Dian, etc.

I want to thank all of you for making this group so successful. We've had our bumps in the road
(such is life), but we're still going and still friendly with one another. Heh heh.

Love you all!

Handy tips.........by Coram

The young man who was supposed to come today to pressure-wash my house didn't show up,
and I didn't want folks from ResQ to see the green MOLD growing up the back of the house.
So, I asked Ron to get his pressure-washer and hook it
up in the backyard. He got the darned thing as a Christmas gift, and I don't think he has ever used it.
I would do it myself, by gum! I am woman! Hear me roar! I can do ANYTHING!

Here are a few things I learned the hard way:

1. Don't bother taking a shower, putting on makeup and doing your hair. By the end of the chore
you're going to look like a wet raccoon, and smell like a dead wet raccoon.

2. Put on old clothes, that's a given. But be sure and wear a bra,
unless you have a body that looks GOOD in a wet teeshirt. (I don't.)

3. Wet jeans are hard to get off if you have to run inside to pee.

4. When you are spraying under the overhang, you will need something to shield your eyes
from falling water. A baseball cap works pretty good, assuming you can get it on over your wet hair.

Goggles do NOT work, because they fog up in 2.3 seconds and you can't see diddly-squat,
including the dirt dauber nest you just disturbed.

5. Let your dogs outside to potty before you start working on the back of the house.
For some reason, a roaring gasoline-powered pressure-washer and an idiot in wet clothes,
a baseball cap and goggles scares them and they won't go outside.
