You are cordially invited to the
Grand Opening and Fund Raiser for
Brookline Community Center for the Arts

14 Green Street (Coolidge Corner), Brookline, MA 02446
April 13 - 19, 2003

The BCCA is a new non-profit community center dedicated to providing quality arts and educational programs to people of all ages and abilities. During this opening week over forty of the Center’s charter faculty members-many of the community’s renowned instructors and performing artists-are offering numerous free educational, creative, artistic, social, and fitness activities.

The BCCA’s Open House Week will feature over 170 hours of free classes including the following: Martial Arts; Classical, Contemporary, Social, and World Dance; Children’s Movement; Health and Fitness; Theater and Drama; Art History; Fine Art and Music. Additionally, the opening week will feature demonstrations and performances in world dance, music, tap, modern, jazz, hip-hop, urban dance, and much more. There will be an exhibition of paintings by award-winning artist Andrea Goldsmith, a fashion show by J-ade, and catering provided by local businesses. The week’s grand finale on Saturday, April 19 will feature a seminar hosted by Robert Bussey, pioneer and world-renowned personal defense expert. The evening will conclude with a reception and various performances by our faculty, followed by a Latin & International dance with SalsaBoston.

The BCCA has been gathering community support for the renovation of the Center’s facilities. The first of the two floors presently nears completion. When fully renovated, the center will house six studios equipped with superb hardwood sprung dance floors, surround sound audio systems, video equipment, reception rooms, changing rooms with showers, a kitchen, a shop, and administrative offices. The cost of transforming this building-formerly the Aish Hatorah center-into this state-of-the-art facility exceeds $400,000. With over two-thirds of that amount privately funded to date, the BCCA requires an additional $150,000 to complete the facilities. Your support is much needed.

The Center will benefit people of all abilities, ages, and cultural backgrounds, in addition to significantly impacting the Coolidge Corner economy by bringing over 1000 people per day to the area. Your financial contribution can truly make a difference for the community at large. Please make a donation by sending a check to Brookline Community Center for the Arts, Inc., 14 Green Street, Brookline, MA 02446. Alternatively, we can process your credit card transaction online at www.BCCAonline.com or visit us in person.

We also cordially invite you to participate in this exciting opening week of classes and events. Please call us at 617-738-2800 if you have any questions.

We are grateful for your patronage.
