Flyers & Business Cards
Flyers and Business Cards are a great tool for getting people interested in your online business, and can be used in a variety of ways.
Most people will be familiar with this form of advertising, and it can be a fairly cheap method. You can either print them off yourself using your printer or get them produced professionally at a reasonable cost.
A lot of big stores or even your local store will have a board where they allow their customers to post ads for a small charge or even free. If you use these types of board it may be worth while seeing if your local printer can make a page with 10 or 20 tear-offs at the bottom, so people can simply tear off a strip and take your contact information home with them.
If people in your area have a paper delivered regularily, you may be able to get a flyer inserted into the paper, for a small fee. Or pay someone to hand deliver the flyer.
When dealing with business cards some people are put off because they feel silly handing them out, or haven't got enough confidence yet, but they to can be used in a similar way as flyers. When you visit a doctors surgery, or go for a haircut, in-fact anywhere that people have to sit and wait for an appointment or to be seen, you can leave a few business cards behind. Most of these types of places have a table with magazines or something to read so people can relieve their bordom, they will also quit happily pick up a business card out of curiosity.
You can also leave them in bars or resturants. When you leave the resturant and make a payment, leave a business card with it as well, you never know but next recruit might just be the person who served you your meal.
