Don spent most of his waking hours during the last four years of his life creating and maintaining the AUTODIN Legacy Project (ALP) web site, better known as AUTODIN.NET. That site is now defunct as no family member, friend or anyone else has the time to devote to the project as did Don. That being the case I offer this memorial to Don in appreciation of his friendship and dedication to all that was his.
Below you will find links to Don's autobiography which he had published on the AUTODIN site. Part I is his life prior to his Western Union career, Part II is during and after that career. There are many references to pictures which I have been unable to locate. I left the references in for authenticity.
As a note of interest, remnants of the AUTODIN site can be found at http://www.archive.org/web/web.php. Web pages only, no pictures and broken links. The first page listed was of October 18, 2000, after the site crashed.
If anyone reading this has a story or stories regarding Don, submit it or them (email address below) and if appropriate I will publish them as a part of this memorial.
