- March 15, 2003 - All of the groups within IBDollClub are now by invitation only groups. This means you either have to be invited to join or you may request membership by emailing the Officers. We did this so IBDC groups would be more exclusive.
- October 23, 2003 IBDC has a message board called "Locate a Collector in your Area" This is a message board where you can look up your state or country and find people that might be in your area.
IBDC is NOT responsible for meetings, get togethers, or emails that come from using these message boards.
WARNING: If you do decide to meet. Meet with CAUTION. IBDC is not responsible. Also, IBDC is not responsible for trashy or spam emails if you choose to leave your email address in the public message boards.
- July 22, 2003 - IBDCNews group is now a by invitation only group. However, if you would like to join, please fill out the join form by clicking here.
- November 12, 2002 - IBDC has implemented an age limit of age 14 or older. IBDC has every right to restrict the club to people of 14 years of age or older. As this club is directed to adult collectors. And some subject matters may not be suitable for children under the age of 14. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
When you are at the joining page of our website, we ask you for your name or username, your age or birthday, email address, and an idea of what you collect or are interested in. All information is used only for IBDC purposes only and is not shared outside of IBDC. The information gets sent to only the Officers of IBDC.
Another question we ask of you is that if you understand that it's a requirement to be on IBDCNews list (Yahoogroup)
You are asked your permission to be put on IBDC News's mailing list. If you say NO this means you are declining to be a member of the news list. Which then declines you from being a member of IBDC.
When saying yes, this means you're giving us permission to sign you up for the IBDCNews List. Other IBDC lists (Yahoogroups) are optional.
If you say NO your information will automatically get deleted and not added to the list.
We do not collect any information of children under the age of 14. If we see that we have members under the age of 14 they and their information are automatically deleted.
If you subscribe to IBDCNews and or any other IBDC group and then unsubscribe later. This gives the membership officer the right to unsubscribe you from any other IBDC group you may be a member of.
If you are not a member of IBDCNews email list, and are a member of any other IBDC groups "classes" you will be notified that you will need to be a member of IBDCNews.
We recommend Daily Digest in IBDCNews. As we do sometimes send out a few emails during the week. But you can choose Individual Email or Special Notice. However we don't recommend No Mail. As we feel that if you choose to be an IBDC member. You need to know what is going on within the club.
Every so often, one of our Officers' will go through our membership base to make sure they do not find anyone using the No Mail feature. -- If for some reason you are on vacation or have an emergency, please let us know. We'll allow it within reason. Anyone using the NO Mail feature for long periods of time will be automatically switched to Special Notice on a random basis.
Officer's will also do random member checks as well. If we see that your email doesn't work. We will unsubscribe you.
All IBDC members are required to check in at least twice a year in order to keep their membership active. Every 6 months or so our Membership Officer, will be doing member checks. This is to make sure you're still wanting to be a member of IBDC, and to check for dead email addresses.
Members need to be signed up with IBDC News in order to be a member of the club. - This will be checked often to make sure every IBDC member in all IBDC groups are subscribed to IBDC News. It is a requirement that all IBDC members must be apart of our club's mailing list to ensure each member gets the appropriate news or announcements.
When membership checks are being held, you may see check in notices come via the group and privately. We are very sorry if you get the notice more than a few times during the membership check period. The membership check period is usually 1 - 2 months long. This gives members time to email in their info or get it checked with the Membership Officer.
If you choose to become an officer of the club you will be required to check in at least once a month, as we need to work together to keep this club going and make it better for members and fellow officers.
Officers' will be evaluated every so often. If they aren't doing a good job, they will be released from their duties and will be replaced.
IBDC DOES NOT sell or trade anyone's information outside of IBDC. We are committed to protecting your privacy. IBDC keeps your personal information private and does not share it with any third parties,
