The
HLSS Scholarship Committee would like to announce to all members that
applications for the David McIntosh Scottish Arts and Culture Scholarship Fund
are now being accepted. This

Scottish Dancing, Piping, Drumming, Scottish Singing, Language or Cultural
Studies.

wishing

Applications
are accepted each year with a deadline of December 1st.

Scholarships
are awarded to a member in good standing who has belonged to HLSS for at least
one year. Children
or grandchildren of the aforementioned member may also apply.
This
scholarship may be used for tuition, books, seminars or specified instructional
workshops. Letter
of recommendation will be helpful in making selections.
Scholarship
money will be withheld until successful completion of one semester at an
accredited college or institution, with a transcript of grades (a 2.0 average or
better) being sent to HLSS.
The
HLSS Board will have the final choice of applicants.

are $20 for a single or family. Children
under 18 come under a family membership.

A
donation to the Scholarship Fund would be greatly appreciated. We have two
scholarships, the David McIntosh fund, named after our founder, and the Myron
Wilcox fund in honor of our first president. These two men worked tirelessly in
our early days to establish the Society on Cape Cod.
