Sleepover FAQ's....

The Sleepover begins on Wednesday and ends on Sunday.

1) THE BOOK EXCHANGE
We make a "Wish List" of books we would like to have. These would be hard to find books, books missing from a series you've been trying to collect, or older books you've wanted but haven't been able to find. They should be books that can be found in UBS's - not new ones (you could list new ones & if someone finds it in a UBS that's fine!) but we do not purchase new books for the exchange. If someone comes across a very hard to find book, and it costs more than a UBS price, that person should let the one who wants it know and you can decide if you want to pay the price for it. No one should pay excessive prices for books unless the person wanting it is willing to pay the higher price to have it. There's no limit to how many books you can "wish" for - go for it! We have had a TREMENDOUS success rate with our exchange, and it is great fun trying to find books for each other! So anyway, we make our lists and send them to Susan and she will make one list to send each of us to print out. She will update the list periodically to let everyone know who found what so we'll know weather to keep looking or not. Susan is THE DIVA of lists! You'll LOVE this event and it is part of our "Last Night Get Together" (which we all HATE but this helps make it fun and not as sad.

NOTE: This is NOT a "one for one" trade. Make your list as long as you want & DO list those HTF's! You may need a U-Haul to get your loot home, or you may be able to tuck it into your purse. It's a crap shoot girls, but no one usually goes away feeling like a loser!

ALSO, if you are not fortunate enough to have access to a UBS where you live, and THINK you cannot participate, you're WRONG! You are to make a list anyway. Not making one is NOT an option for lack of a UBS. Many books on the lists can be found at thrift stores, library sales, rummage sales & garage sales. But if you can't find any because of a lack of access you are NOT exempt from receiving books. The book hunt is GREAT FUN & a challenge we all love, so get crackin on those lists! On the other hand, if you simply don't wish to participate because of lack of time or you just don't want any books, then that's your option. But lack of a UBS in your area is not an acceptable reason not to participate.

2) FOOD FOR THE FIRST NIGHT GET TOGETHER
We order the food each year from Port-o-Subs. It is GREAT and the cost is quite reasonable.

3) THE FIRST NIGHT GET TOGETHER
Even though the Sleepover officially starts on Wednesday, The First Night Get Together is on Thursday evening because some ReBeL's may not arrive until then. Since this event is at RBL Central and not catered or in a meeting room, EVERYONE is required to pitch in for the clean-up. We pass the Big Black Garbage Bag, wash utensils, etc. before anyone leaves for a night on the town.

4) THE NASSSTEEE GIFT EXCHANGE!!!
This EVENT (!) takes place at the First Night Get Together. You can purchase anything fun and NASSSTEEE! And we usually spend around 10 bucks thereabouts (give or take a buck here or there). This is such a fun & hilarious event! (If you're not able to purchase your gift before the Sleepover, see #5)

5) WEDNESDAY NIGHT JAUNT TO THE ADULT SUPERSTORE
The Wednesday Night Jaunt To The Adult Superstore has become a Sleepover "event". It's great even if you do bring your gift with you to go along anyway for some laughs! And now, with all the airport "Bells and Whistles" to tell the WORLD you're carrying objects that VIBRATE (hahaha!), most of the "fliers" do wait to purchase in Vegas. But if you have a PORN STORE in your town with lotsa fun stuff, go for it because you might find a better variety from what others are buying and you might not pay as much.

6) KRISPY KREME THURSDAY!!!
Ann began our "Krispy Kreme Thursday Morning" two years ago & it is now a Sleepover tradition. The appointed time is around 11:00 or 11:30 a.m. (for those who are just stumbling in from the night before! LOL!). We all pitch in for the cost of the KK's & you should BYO coffee (or BLOODY MARY'S!! ;- ) Ann will let us all know the cost that morning.

7) OLYMPIC GARDENS! DANCIN BABES!!
A WELL ESTABLISHED Sleepover Tradition is to go to Olympic Gardens together as a group on Friday night. Although this is a "group event" if this is NOT your thing and you think you would be uncomfortable going, no one will think less of you if you don't go. We DO however, encourage everyone to give it a try!!!! You don't have to stay - any of us will walk you downstairs & see that you get a cab back to the hotel, but it really is a hoot and not something one gets to do everyday! And not to mention a MAJOR TURNON to get ya a "BABE-IN-A-BOOTH" (haha!) or just STUFF SOME BUTT FLOSS of the BABE of your dreams! "Official" RBL "Hand-holders" will be available - G

9) FLIGHT SCHEDULES
Each year Vic makes a flight schedule list for all of us so we can see who will be landing when and can make arrangements to share shuttles. So, as soon as you get your flight reservations, send her the following information:

Airline
Arrival date:
Arrival time:
Flight number
Departing date:
Departing time
(IrishLass1102@aol.com)

When everyone's info is received, she will make a list and send it to everyone. So get your info to her as soon as you get it!

10) LAST NIGHT GET TOGETHER
The Book Exchange is the last official event of the Sleepover and helps make that time fun and not so sad. We gather at RBL Central around 6:00 p.m., bring a "bag lunch" or mou on whatever is leftover in the frig, have a few frozen concoctions to help us hang on, and FINALLY, after great anticipation, receive the "treasures" that we all worked so hard to find for each other. It's a mixed bag of excitement and fun and sorrow knowing that "tomorrow" we will be saying…….NOT "goodbye", but, "Happy Trails" cause we WILL meet again.
