To qualify for this program you have to be a farm worker or the child of a farm worker who has moved to Putnam county within the last 36 months to obtain temporary or seasonal work in agricultural, fishing, or dairy activity.
Eligibility for participation in this program is limited to migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their dependents who are:
- a citizen or a lawfully admitted permanent resident alien
- member of a disadvantage family which receives public assistance excluding Food Stamps or whose annual income is less than 70 person of the Lower Living Standard Income Level
- Received at least 50% of his/her earned income from farmwork or was employed at least 50% of his/her total work time in farmwork.
Been employed at least 25 days in farmwork or earned at least $800 a year in farmwork.
