Crew Chief:
Michael Morgan:
Mike's PictureMike is 38 years old and resides in Vernon. His family lives in Abbostsford, B.C. Mike moved to Vernon in 1998 and is currently employed with Kenny as a mechanic at Kenny P Motorsports. Mike hasn’t any children of his own however his ability to make people laugh and easy going personality makes him a natural with kids and adults alike. Mike enjoys taking the time to answer questions about his job and the car and with his enthusiasm and energy is able to make those around him feel like his friend. He has an extremely outgoing and comical personality that not only adds life to Kenny’s business but to the crew as well.

Mike became a member of Kenny’s crew in 1998 as a mechanic and it was soon evident what an asset he was. He temporarily took a leave in 2002 to become part of a Cascar Super Series Team. He returned to Kenny’s team as Crew Chief in 2003 bringing with him the wisdom of having worked with a professional crew. Through experience Mike gained an uncanny ability to diagnose and fix anything with whatever means necessary at a lightening pace, making him unsurpassable in the pits. Mike’s speed, knowledge and experience in the pits has a definite advantage over their opponents.

Mike looks forward to bringing the Championship to this deserving and dedicated driver, crew and sponsors!

Front End and General Fabricating:
Bill Burnell:

Bill moved to Vernon in 1993, where he quickly took advantage of Silver Star Mountain to resume his career as a professional downhill skier. An avid downhill racer, Bill has raced all over North America but took to the Okanagan Valley as his home. In the winter he coaches other skiers and especially enjoys coaching the younger skiers on the hill.

He joined Kenny’s team 3 years ago where he fit in immediately through his experience as a front end man and expertise to fix broken body parts at the spur of the moment. Although sometimes appearing quiet, Bill has a comical side and is the crew member who will find humour in most any situation allowing for stress to be lifted when the going becomes tough in the pits.

Bill’s speed is not only found on the ski hill but in the pits as well where he dominates the field in repairs always tacking on a joke while fixing them. He has become a very important asset to Kenny’s team through experience, speed and accuracy not to mention stress relief among the crew members.

He looks forward to a continued success with Nuclear Racing and is always around to share the lighter side of racing with fans and sponsors alike.

Fabricating and Body Specialist:
Al Conquergood:
Al's Picture
Al owns and operates his own Street Rod business in the Spallumcheen Valley for over 20 years. He is the proud owner of a 1930 Ford Coupe which was in the Snap-On calendar in 1999. Al’s wonderful wife Lisa and 3 energetic kids (Ashley, Kevin and Anita) are also deeply involved in their home based Street Rod company. Together they enjoy building Hot Rods and are never afraid of any new challenge that might come their way. They are an extremely strong knit family showing their support for each other no matter what they try. A few year’s ago Al’s eldest daughter Ashley (age 15) got involved in helping design a street stock race car. This was the beginning of Al’s daughter’s own racing career and just added to her love of the sport. Ashley placed 2nd in her first Powder Puff race at the age of 14. Al’s wife and three kids are often seen in the pits showing their enthusiasm and support for both the team and the sport. It is obvious that Al is not the only one in his family who appreciates the love of racing as seen through his daughter. Be sure to check out Al's site that Lisa and Ashley have created about their Street Rods, in our links page.

Again with the support of his family Al became a part of Kenny’s pit crew a year ago however his friendship with Kenny has existed for many years. His expertise as a welder, steel fabricator and painter has made him a real asset to Kenny’s team. Joining the team has given Al the opportunity to learn about the racing industry which Al believes goes hand in hand with the street rods. Al’s theory is “it’s all about cars”.

Just like his street rod business, racing has also become a huge part of Al’s life. Al and his entire family look forward to the continued success with Kenny’s team and expect to be with him for many years to come. They all love to speak to the fans sharing their interest and enthusiasm in not only racing but Street Rods as well. Al looks forward to seeing everyone at the races or car shows!

Gord is 29 years old and was born and raised in Prince George, B.C. He moved to Vernon in 1997 with his lovely wife Angie. They now have two fabulous children Jordan and Declan. Gord and his family have really been able to put “family” into racing.

Gord grew up around drag and stock car racing making him a perfect addition to Kenny’s team. This is his first year with Kenny’s team and has already become a real asset through his ability to work the car with accuracy and speed. His experience and expertise have gained him huge respect in the pits. His love for the sport will most certainly keep him around for many years to come.

Gord loves the fans and sponsors and his wife and children are always visible at races, showing their support with extreme enthusiasm. Gord and his entire family are always willing to share their love of racing with the fans and sponsors alike proving that age doesn’t matter as Gord and Angie’s oldest child is only 6 years old.

Gord looks forward to spending many years on Kenny’s team bringing with him not only experience with cars but a family aspect to the sport. He would like to thank Kenny for this opportunity, his family for their support and a special thank you to the fans and sponsors for making the experience possible.

Detail Specialist:
Mitchel Hunter:
Mitchel's Picture
Mitchel was born in Vernon and raised in Armstrong B.C. He is the youngest son of Kenny’s sister and the youngest member of Kenny’s crew. Mitchel is just 13 years of age and is already very dedicated to Kenny and his team. For as long as Mitchel can remember he has always enjoyed working alongside of his uncle learning whatever he could without trying to get in the way of the “big guys”. Kenny was quick to notice Mitchel’s dedication and want to learn and as soon as Mitchel was old enough to go into the pits Kenny quickly found him the job of Detail Specialist. Mitchel takes pride in keeping the car clean and polished. Kenny is very proud of his nephew and is pleased with the effort that Mitchel applies at each race.

Mitchel has always proved to be an extremely hard worker holding several jobs in the past including working at a dog kennel, horse farm and log home company. He is also an active member of the Shuswap 4H Dairy Club and enjoys sports of all kinds. He is a very active and respected student at his school. Mitchel is quick to share with his peers his love for working in the pits and the jobs he does.

It is obvious that Mitchel loves to work and looks forward to many years as part of Kenny’s crew and one day hopes to follow in his Uncle’s footsteps as a professional racecar driver. Mitchel would like to thank his uncle for letting him have this opportunity and sharing his knowledge with him. He would also like to thank his family for giving him the support in this thrill-seeking sport and Mitchel would especially like to thank the many sponsors and fans that add to the excitement of the entire event.

Shawn Scott:
Shawn's Picture
Shawn was born on July 26th, 1983 in Casltgar, B.C. He moved to Vernon when he was only 4 months old. Shawn has always been mechanically inclined and began working on stock cars at the age of 15. He has been working at Kenny P Motorsports since his graduation from Fulton Senior School in 2001. His quick learning ability and people skills has made him an asset to both Kenny’s business and pit crew.

Shawn is one of the younger crew members making him an outstanding spokesperson for teenagers and young adults alike. He is quick to take younger fans aside to explain anything they may want to know. Although many of his fans are females, he is always focused and ready for anything that might happen in the pits. Shawn is a constant reminder that hard work and determination will bring success not only to himself but to the crew.

Shawn is always reliable and can virtually do anything asked of him. His learning skills surpass most people of his age making him an excellent part of this team.

He looks forward to remaining with the team for as long as he can and thanks Kenny for giving him the opportunity to prove himself. He would also like to thank the fans and sponsors for making his experience as part of this crew so rewarding. Shawn is planning a move to Alberta however he is hoping to still be around when they bring home the championship. Shawn will be very hard to replace when he moves as he has become an intricate part of this crew.
