- 10th Standard Exam Results for 2006-2007 came out on the 30th June 2007. Like last year, our school stood first.

- No 2 BEHS in Sangyong Township holds annual meeting
"The meeting (2005/2006) of the Parent-Teacher Association of No 2 Basic Education High School in Sangyong Township was held this morning at the school in conjunction with a prize presentation ceremony.
Headmistress Daw Khin Lay Myint and Township Education Officer Daw Tint Tint spoke on the occasion. After the meeting, the chairman of Township Peace and Development Council, the headmistress and officials presented prizes to the students who passed the matric exam (2005/06) with distinctions.
In 2005-2006 academic year, the pass rate of No 2 BEHS in Sangyong Township is 93.37 percent. Among all the schools under No 3 Basic Education Department, the pass rate of No 2 BEHS in Sangyong Township stood first. The school was able to produce 19 six-distinction winners, 25 five-distinction winners, 31 four-distinction winners, 29 three-distinction winners, 49 two-distinction winners and 44 one-distinction winners. "

- The award presentation ceremony was held in Sabei Hall at school on August 26th, 2006. Over 93% of Sanchaung (2) students, 296 out of 317 students, who sat for the 2005-06 exams passed. That ranks Sanchaung (2) first in Yangon Division.(Reported by Theint Theint on August 27th, 2006.)
- The 9th Arsariya Puzawbwe for alumnae was held at school on December 18th, 2005. 113 out of 122 invited teachers attended the homage paying ceremony. Thank you so much for your gifts, donations, and support.

- Happy Thadinkyut, Everyone!!! Enjoy the holidays!!! Don't forget to collect pocket money from your relatives!!! The school will reopen on the 24th of October.

University Entrance for 2005 Academic Year
Those who passed the 2005 matriculation exam are to personally draw the mark lists, biography, university entrance manual and university entrance application from the supervisors of respective examination centres beginning from 19 September to apply for the entrance. The applications can be sent right to Higher Education Department (Lower Myanmar) daily inclusive Saturdays and Sundays from 19 September to 4 October. Tourist Maps of Myanmar Now Available Free-of-charge
Under the directives of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, Design Printing Services Co. Ltd. is publishing Tourist Maps of Myanmar (TMM-15). The details of Yangon City, Mandalay, Pyin Oo Lwin, Bagan, Mrauk-U, Taunggyi, Innlay and Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda are stated together with the locations of airports, transportation companies, hotels, and restaurants in the maps. The maps are available free of charge at Myanma Tourism Service on 35th Street in Kyaukdata Township and Design Printing Services Co. Ltd. in business hours with the copy of special powers and company’s registration. (Reported on September 29, 2005)
- The current Headmistress' name is Daw Khin Lay Myint. She is originally from Mawlamyaing. She is tall, kind, and generous but strict as other headmistresses have been.
The teachers in charge of Grade 11 this year are Daw Hnin Hnin Myint, Daw Myint Myint (a) Teacher Margret, Daw Aye Aye Mu, Daw Mya Mya Hnin, Daw Khin San Kywe, Daw Khin Than Lwin, Daw Ni Ni Win, Daw Mya Mya Soe, Daw Mi Mi Ohn, Daw San San Yee, Daw Tin Tin Hla, and a few others. - Award Giving Ceremony (su-pay-bwe) for students who passed the matriculation exams(2004-05) with flying colors was held at Sabai Hall on August 6, 2005 between 10:00 and 12:00pm. Our school has 16 students with distinction in all subjects and many students with multiple distinctions. All students with distinctions are awarded 5,000Ks per distinction by our school for their hard work and perserverance. (Reported by Theint Theint on August 6, 2005)
- 2004-05 matriculation examinations results were announced yesterday. Sanchaung (2) stood sixth in the nation with 89.63% of our students passing all the exams. TTC stood first with a passing rate of 94.07%. The average passing rate for these exams each year is around 37 percent. (Reported by Theint Theint on July 25, 2005)

- Sanchaung (2) won the first prize in Computer Quiz at the 57th Anniversary Independence Day Celebrations
Students of six basic education high schools in Yangon Division took part in the computer quiz organized by Yangon University of Computer Studies and the teaching contest with audio language lab of Soft Guide Computer Co. Ltd. and BEHS No 2, Sangyoung Township won the first prize. The exhibition is kept open free of charge till 11 January from 9 am to 5 pm daily at the Tatmadaw Convention Hall on U Wisara Road in Dagon Township. (From Myanma Alin, Jan 10, 2005)

- On the BEHS 10th Standard Examinations for the schoolyear 2002-03, Sanchaung 2 has an impressive 87% passing rate and six students with six distinctions (See picture below). Four of our students also ranked in the top ten on the nationwide examinations. Way to go S-2!!!(May 31st, 2004)
[The average passing rate for each year is 36.5 percent. About 600,000 students took the 2000-2001 matriculation examination in the entire nation and over 200,000 students passed the examination. ]

- Sanchaung (2), or Sangyoung (2), distinguished itself at the 2003-04 School Family Day Celebrations. State schools from all over Myanmar took part in the events. Pyi Mon Thet and Win Lei Phyu, a seventh standard and a ninth standard students, and Naw Ruth and Naw Mary, a ninth standard and a seventh standard students, all of Sanchaung (2)'s, acted as masters of ceremonies and announced the agenda in Myanmar and in English respectively for the first part of the celebrations in front of the National Indoor Stadium 1 on Waizayanta Road in Thingangyun Township.
For the second session held in the National Indoor Stadium in Thuwunna, Yadana Aye Min, a seventh standard student and Hauk Khang Dimk, a ninth standard student, both from Sanchaung (2), acted as masters of ceremonies and announced the agenda in Myanmar and in English respectively.
A total of 200 students from Sanchaung (2) also presented dances and demonstrated the letters EFA which stands for 'Education For All' and the numbers 2015, the targeted year of the success of the motto.

- As of October 27th, 2003, people in Yangon and Mandalay can finally access our website and send us emails. Many websites are still banned in Myanmar as they contain inappropriate materials. For an internet account, Bagan Cybertech charges a FEC500 activation fee and an annual maintenance fee of FEC300. Monthly fees range from FEC55 for 30 hours use to FEC180 for unlimited use. Intranet users have access to about 1000 sites on the world wide web, about 50 sites on the local intranet as well as an e-mail service. Our sources report it is much cheaper to open an account at the Internet Cafe.(Oct 27, 2003)

- Our beloved Teacher Daw Htwe Htwe Lwin passed away at age 50 on the 25th of August, 2003. Her funeral service was held on the 27th of August, 2003. Condolences can be sent to the family of Teacher Daw Htwe Htwe Lwin, Daw Mu Mu Lwin or Daw Phyu Phyu Lwin, No.8, East Gyo-kone Street, Sanchaung PO, Yangon, Myanmar, before the end of September. She was the youngest of eight siblings. (Aug 28, 2003)
