Open Letter from Myatt Taezar Lynn, US

Hey siss!!!

My name is Myatt Taezar Lynn (most of my friends and teachers call me tae tae). I am from 1993 batch. I just want to say that I am very glad to be a member of this Sanchaung (2) Alumnae Network and I am very happy that I can get in touch with my old friends.  I really miss my school, my friends, and my teachers.

I like to share a happy unforgettable personal story from the old days at school.  It was in my 9th grade.  My best friends and I were assigned in the class (IX A) and within the class we formed a group called Shwe group.  We named ourselves after Shwe.  So we have like Shwe Hteik, Shwe Tha, Shwe Chaw, Shwe Tae, Shwe Wheel and Shwe Oo.  One time, I can’t really recall whose idea it was but we decided to write down all our names of the Shwe members on the wall in our classroom.  We also included ET and Zinmar.  It was just to show off how proud we are of ourselves but when our class teacher found out, we had to erase all those names and as for a punishment we had to repaint the walls.  Those days are my happiest days in Sanchaung (2).  If I can make a wish, I want to go back to those wonderful golden days with my friends and teachers and experience the schools days at Sanchaung (2) all over again. (Well, may be except for the studies and exams!)

I graduated from Yangon University with BSc.(Physics).  I had a very wonderful time in my first year and second year at RC2.   I also have a diploma in Information Technology (Business Information System) diploma from Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore.  I enjoyed my school days in TP very much and I enjoyed participating in all the events, organized by International Students Organization and Burmese Associations.  I miss my friends from Singapore very much, too.

Now I am living in the U.S.  I have been here for about 7 months now.  I decided to follow my fiancé Ko Tun Tun to live in the U.S.  We are going to get married in a couple of years.  I am thinking about going back to school for a bachelor degree and may be even a master degree as well, who knows, still looking at the local universities and their programs.  Right now I don’t have a job, I am hoping to get a job that pays well and has potential career advancement in Information Technology field.

Well...let me stop my letter now. I'll be in touch with all my friends here.

With love,
Taetae
(1993)
