Executive Bios
Corinne
Glover - Executive Director
Executive Producer and Board member Corinne Glover was
born into a family rich in dance tradition. Her aunt was a founding
member of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), London, in the 1920’s; and her mother was the original RAD organizer in the San
Francisco area in the mid 1950’s. Ms. Glover’s
training began at the age of six, and she holds membership in the Royal Academy
of Dance. She was Director of the English
Ballet School
in Los Angeles from 1976 to
1989, where she established herself as a very skilled and thorough teacher, coaching
students of all levels. She opened the Santa Clarita Ballet Academy in
1992 and is the Academy’s Director.

Carol
Guidry - Artistic Director, Choreographer
Ms.
Guidry received her Royal Academy of Dance training and Advanced 2
Certificate at the Audrey
Share School
in Long Beach, CA.
She was a soloist with the Minnesota Dance Theatre, appearing in works
by George Balanchine, Sir Fredrick Ashton, Glen Tetley, Eugene Loring
and Jose Limon. She danced, taught and choreographed in
Germany for eight years with the
Heidelberg City Ballet and the Gelsenkirchner Musiktheater im Revier.
After returning to Los Angeles,
Ms. Guidry choreographed three productions for the Mark Taper Forum
and performed regularly with the Los Angeles Chamber Ballet. She joined
the teaching staff of the Santa Clarita Ballet Academy in 1994 and
co-founded the Santa Clarita Ballet Company with Ms. Glover in 1995.

Company Bios
Caitlin
Colangelo has taken a variety of dance classes in ballet,
Irish tap, and hip hop from the time she was 2-1/2 years old. At the
age of 8, Caitlin chose to concentrate on ballet and jazz when she
joined the Santa Clarita Ballet Academy. Caitlin passed her RAD Intermediate
exam in 2007 and passed her exam for Grade 7 work in 2008. Caitlin
has performed in many of The Nutcracker productions and was
thrilled to perform in the Snow Corps, Flower & Chinese for last
year's show. This Nutcracker she will add the roles of Mirliton
and Spanish to her repertoire. She has been in many spring shows,
such as Beauty and the Beast, The Tales of Beatrix Potter, La
Bayadere, G-Side/B Song, Dvorak Seranade and performed
as Tweedle-Dum in Alice in Wonderland. A highlight of each
dance year is her involvement in the SC Ballet workshop and performance
each July. She has also attended the RAD Long Beach Ballet Intensive.
Caitlin is a 10th grade student at Immaculate Heart High School. She
is very interested in the arts and brings her dance background and
artistic sensibility to her school endeavors. Caitlin hopes to study
dance and music in college and will always make her focus on dance
an important part of her life.
Danielle Connolly started dancing when she was 5 years
old, taking ballet now for ten years, tap and jazz for 9. She has
passed all of her R.A.D. exams through Grade 6. This is Danielle's
third year in the company where she has performed in The Nutcracker,
Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, G-Song and Dvorak Serenade.
Danielle is excited to be performing in this year's Nutcracker
as a Mirlton, Arabian and in the Snow and Flower Corp. Danielle
loves to express herself through the many mediums of dance. She
is a sophomore at Saugus High School, maintians membership in the
Honor Society as well as being the feature editor on the school
newpaper "The Scroll".

Olivia
Dassler began dancing when she was five years old. She
found the Santa Clarita Ballet Academy at age 11 and has loved it
ever since. She currently holds her Intermediate and Grade 7 certificates
to the Royal Academy of Dance. This Nutcracker will be
Olivias sixth performance with the Santa Clarita Ballet. She
will be dancing Arabian, and in the Snow and Flower Corps. Olivia
is 16 years old and attends Hart High School. Dance is her passion
and she looks forward to many years to come with the Santa Clarita
Ballet. After high school she wants to continue dancing and aspires
to dance professionally.

Nicole
Dobias started dancing at the Santa Clarita Ballet in September
of 1999 at the age of 5. She has taken every RAD grade exam since
pre-primary and recently passed her Intermediate Foundation exam.
Her first performance with Santa Clarita Ballet was as a Flower Girl
in Coppelia in June of 2000. She has also been in every Nutcracker
production since 2000. This year will be her first time in the Snow
Corps. Nicoles favorite roles have been Harlequin, Party Girl,
and Snow Corp. Nicole plays the guitar in her free time. She is currently
in the 8th grade at Pinecrest Middle School in Canyon Country.

Lilly
Erickson started ballet training 6 years ago with Debbie
Marino and enrolled in the Santa Clarita Ballet Academy in the summer
of 2006. Lilly enjoys taking four ballet classes a week along with
jazz and Yoga. She currently holds her RAD Grade 6 certificate and
will take her Intermediate exam this spring. She has been seen as
a Party Girl and Snow Corps in The Nutcracker, a Villager
in Coppelia, one of Jemima Puddleducks friends in The
Tales of Beatrix Potter and is looking forward to being in the
Flower Corps and Chinese in this years Nutcracker.
Lilly is an eighth grade honor student at Rancho Pico Junior High
and is 13 years old. Ballet is Lillys passion and she hopes
to dance her whole life

Morgan
Hernandez has been dancing with the Santa Clarita Ballet
Academy since she was 5 years old. She has performed in many Santa
Clarita Ballet productions including The Nutcracker, Beauty and
the Beast, and Cinderella. An Apprentice in the Company,
Morgan will be dancing in the Snow Corps, Flower Corps and Chinese
Variation in this years Nutcracker production. She
has taken five Royal Academy of Dance exams, passing with distinction
on each occasion and in March took her RAD Intermediate exam. Morgan
is 12 years old and is an eighth grader at Rancho Pico Junior High
School. Morgans goal is to continue to develop her dancing skills
in hopes of having a career in dance.
Jennie
Hersh began dancing at the age of three and joined the Santa
Clarita Ballet Academy at the age of five. Over the last ten years,
Jennie has enjoyed performing in all of the Santa Clarita Ballet's
productions, and has especially enjoyed dancing the role of The Queen
of Hearts and Tigerlily in Alice in Wonderland, a Fairy in
A Midsummer Nights Dream, and Snow Corps and Flower
demi-soloist in The Nutcracker. This year, Jennie is proud
to add the role of the Rat King to this list. This past summer Jennie
attended the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine at UCLA,
and hopes to one day have a career in Medicine. Jennie is 16 years
old and is a junior at Canyon High School, where she is an honor student.
She is a member of the California Scholarship Federation, the National
Honor Society, and is an officer in the Spanish Honor Society.

Camille
Masino began dancing at the age of 3 and found her home at the Santa
Clarita Ballet Academy at the age of 6. For the past 10 years she
has participated in every Nutcracker, June performance
and annual Royal Academy of Dance Exam. This year Camille is excited
to perform the Mirliton and Arabian variations, and Snow and Flower
Corps in The Nutcracker. Camille's love, desire and determination
to dance has enriched her life greatly and she believes the art
of dancing can enrich every person's life. She hopes to continue
dancing throughout college and one day teach dance to children born
with disabilities. Camille loves to spend time with her family.
She enjoys watching her brother's sports and loves to see her two
little sisters following in her dancing footsteps. Camille is a
sophomore at West Ranch High School.

Shannen
Roberts joined the Santa Clarita Ballet Academy at the
age of 4 and has since participated in the summer workshops, Coppelia,
Cinderella, Tales of Beatrix Potter, and The Nutcracker.
She holds her R.A.D Intermediate Certificate. In September 2007,
Shannen became an Apprentice in the Santa Clarita Ballet Company
and performed as part of the Snow Corps and Flower Corps for the
2007 Nutcracker Production. She will be a part of the
Chinese dance, Snow Corps and Flower Corps for the 2008 Nutcracker
Production. Shannen is currently a freshman at Hart High
School where she is in the Show Choir. In addition to dance, Shannen
has been playing the piano since age 5 and has been taking singing
lessons. She sang semi-professionally as part of the Young Vocal
Artists of Los Angeles and as a member of this group, she has
been a part of numerous recording sessions. Shannen enjoys dancing
very much andwill always make it a part of her life.

Mallory
Russikoff has been dancing at the Santa Clarita Ballet since
she was 3 and has performed in every Nutcracker and June
show ever since. Her favorite roles include Anna Marie from The
Tales of Beatrix Potter, the Gallop from Coppelia,
and a Party Girl from The Nutcracker. She has been seen
as a Vine in Beauty and the Beast and last year danced
in the Snow Corps, Flower Corps and Chinese variation from The
Nutcracker. She currently holds her Intermediate certificate.
She also attended the Long Beach RAD summer intensive workshop
in July 2004. Mallory who is currently a freshman hopes to pursue
her dancing for many years, complete her RAD training, and one
day become a ballet teacher.
Caroline
Siler started her ballet training with the Santa Clarita
Ballet Academy at the age of four and currently holds her Advanced
I Certificate with the R.A.D.. Over the past twelve years she
has performed in several ballets staged by the Santa Clarita Ballet
Company. She has enjoyed dancing the roles of The King of Hearts
in Alice in Wonderland , a Shade in Kingdom of the
Shades from La Bayadere, Dvorak Serenade as well
as Carol Guidrys modern piece G Song/B Side. In
this years Nutcracker, Caroline will be dancing
the role of the Snow Queen, Spanish and Mirliton variations and
demi-soloist in Waltz of the Flowers. Caroline is sixteen and
a sophomore at Santa Clarita Christian School. She hopes to complete
her R.A.D. training and continue to pursue her love of dance.

Hannah
Vaughan started ballet 11 years ago. After moving to
Valencia from Huntsville, Alabama in 2000 she joined
the Santa Clarita Ballet Academy and has danced in the annual
Nutcrackers and June performances. Hannah holds her Grade
7 and Intermediate certificates and passed her Advanced 1 exam
in March. Last year, Hannah danced the roles of Arabian, Snow
and Flower corps in The Nutcracker. This year she will
be adding the roles of Spanish, Flower Demi-soloist, and Snow
Princess. In Summer 2007,Hannah participated in Ballet Met's Summer
Intensive in Columbus, Ohio. Ballet is Hannah's passion, and hopes
to persue it for many years to come.
Lauren
Widger started her dance training at the age of 6 with
the Santa Clarita Ballet. She has enjoyed dancing in every Nutcracker
and June performance since that time. Some of her favorite roles
include Fritz, Harlequin and Chinese, all from The Nutcracker.
She currently holds her Intermediate Certificate. In this years
Nutcracker, Lauren will dance as a Mirliton, and a member of the
Snow Corps and the Flower Corps. She is currently a 9th grader
at Hart High School and aspires to finish her RAD training and
dance professionally.

Brianna
Wright started her ballet training when she was 3 years
old with Selena Williams. In 2001, she joined the Santa Clarita
Ballet Academy at age 5 to start her formal RAD training. She currently
holds her RAD Intermediate Foundation certificate. She has participated
in the yearly productions of the Santa Clarita Ballet's Nutcracker
as well as the Beauty and the Beast, Coppelia, and Alice
in Wonderland. Brianna finds performing exhilarating and looks
forward to each production. At 12 years of age, ballet has already
become a large part of Brianna's life. Ballet is her passion and
she aspires to finish her RAD training and dance professionally.

Camille
Xeres-Burgos started dancing when she was 3 years old and
has been dancing at the Santa Clarita Ballet Academy for 9 years.
She has been in all of
the productions since coming here. In The Nutcracker she
started as a Mouse and has worked her way up to Snow Corps. In last
June's production, she was lucky enough to be cast as Alice's cat,
Dina, a Chess Piece, and a Rose in Alice in Wonderland.
She passed her Intermediate Foundation exam with a proud distinction
and enjoys dancing along with her peers. This year, she will be
taking the Grade 6 exam and is very excited for the upcoming things
ahead. Camille is a 7th grader at Rio Norte Junior High School and
is ready to be in 8th grade next year!!

Tatiana
Fernald began dancing at the Santa Clarita Ballet Academy
at the age of four. She has had the privilege of dancing in every
Nutcracker and June performance since. One of her favorite
roles was Samuel Whiskers in The Tales of Beatrix Potter
last June. This year's Nutcracker she will be performing
in the Snow Corps. Tatiana is so excited to be a junior apprentice
in the company this year. She hopes to someday become a professional
dancer and all around entertainer. Tatiana also plans to start a
dance studio that helps under- privileged children and children
with disabilities share her love of dance.

Sidney
Haefs began her ballet training at the Santa Clarita Ballet
Academy when she was 3 1/2 years old. She has been a Soldier and
Partygirl in the companys annual Nutcracker in addition
to dancing the roles of Harlequin and Fritz. This past spring she
had the honor of dancing the part of Peter Rabbit in The Tales
of Beatrix Potter. In August of 2009 Sidney was taken into
the Santa Clarita Ballet Company as a Jr. Apprentice. She will have
the rare privilege of dancing all seven performances as a 1st year
member of the corps de ballet in Waltz of the Snowflakes. She is
grateful to all her teachers and friends at the ballet academy and
is looking forward to dancing with the Santa Clarita Ballet Company
for many years to come.

Paige
Hart started dancing at the Santa Clarita Ballet at the age
of four and has performed in every performance of The Nutcracker
and June show ever since. Her first performance was Beauty and
the Beast where she played a Rose and this past June she was
lucky enough to dance the role of Mrs. Tittlemouse in The Tales
of Beatrix Potter. In this year's Nutcracker she will
have the rare privilege of dancing all seven performances as a 1st
year member of the corps de ballet in Waltz of the Snowflakes. In
March Paige passed her Intermediate Foundation exam with a Distinction.
Paige enjoys spending time with her friends at ballet and school.
Ballet is her passion and she hopes to be doing it for the rest of
her life. She is currently 13 years old and is in 8th grade at Rancho
Pico JH.

Nadine
Bridget Lara began dancing at 5 years old at Santa Clarita
Ballet Academy. She is now currently in her ninth year of dancing
ballet, 3 years of jazz & 2 years of tap. She recently passed
her Intermediate Foundation exam and will take the Intermediate
exam in the spring of 2010. Nadine loves to perform at the Santa
Clarita Performing Arts Center and has been participating in the
Nutcracker & June shows. This year she has joined the
Company as a Jr. Apprentice, and is honored to perform for the first
time in the Snow Corps in this year's Nutcracker. Nadine
is presently in eighth grade, home schooled and enjoys dedicating
her time by dancing 5 days a week. She thanks God for the opportunity,
and is looking ahead to many great years with Santa Clarita Ballet.

Marisa
Magsarili began her ballet training with the Santa Clarita
Ballet Academy when she was 6 years old. She has performed in every
production of The Nutcracker since then and in this years
production, she is lucky to be in the snow corps. Last June Marisa
was cast as the Fierce Bad Rabbit in The Tales of Beatrix Potter.
Marisa proudly completed her Intermediate Foundation exam with distinction
this past March and is looking forward to taking her Intermediate
exam in March 2010. Marisa is currently a 7th grader at Rancho Pico
Junior High School, where she is a member of the yearbook staff
and enjoys all her classes. Marisa appreciates all the support from
her teachers and friends in the ballet academy and anticipates all
the coming years dancing with the Santa Clarita Ballet.
