About the Black Sox: The Binghamton Black Sox were founded in 1997 by Chris Taylor and later merged with another successful STABL franchise, the Angels, in 2002. Josh Pouch took the team over in 2005 with good results, bringing the team from a 1-17 record to 9-9. In 2006 the Sox knocked the three-time defending champion Broome Dodgers out of the playoffs with an impressive victory. The Sox look to improve further in 2007, with a strong returning core.
