About the Devil Rays: The Devil Rays were formed in 2001 by Jason McGoff, who was in his third season in the league. McGoff made his return to baseball in 1999 with Impact Sports, and when that team became the Topper Tigers in 2000, McGoff remained on the roster. In 2001, the Tigers merged with longtime STABL squad Stables Restaurant, who were managed by Mike McHale, and became the Devil Rays. With talent from two squads, McGoff found himself with a strong team. The Devil Rays are consistently a force in the league, and have a reputation for having the most fun in the STABL. Led by its many veteran players and some new faces to the STABL, the Rays became STABL champions in 2007.
