Come see Bus Stop August, 2003. Sincerely, Silas Weir Mitchell
From the Email files of Harris Mann, Co-Artistic Director - The MET Theatre I was fourteen
years old when my Uncle Bukie brought me to The Pittsburgh Civic Theatre
to see John Astin in "A Christmas Carol". It was a defining
moment in my life. I fell in love with theatre. I read plays, directed
friends at the local YMCA in plays we wrote and from there on continued
forth on a journey through The Yale School of Drama to Los Angeles,
where I reside today. My life is dedicated to bringing coherent stories
to the stage and screen and Christian Meoli's play is right up my alley.
From the moment I read the play I knew it had to be done and now was
the time to do it. The only reason to perform a period piece is to tell
a story that mirrors the times we are in and Christian Meoli's play
does just that. Thank you, Harris Mann From the desk of Allison Gammon, Co-Artistic Director - The MET Theatre Never in my life have I been more excited or more inspired by a piece of work as "The Dadaists." Upon my 1st read I was completely enthralled and knew it must be done. After a few months, we selected the piece to be a part of our "On The Verge" staged reading series. In my opinion, it turned out to be the best show of the series. It is passionate, historical and innovative and involves all forms of art as is true to Dada. The Dadaists is brilliantly written; all the characters are fully realized, fun and lively. This is a timely piece as it reflects our current situation in the world. A movement is a happening. We are moving forward and this play will happen. We will go up. We will DADA. Please help us to fully experience all the possibilities that this play contains. Sincerely, Allison Gammon The

do not even try to read this because that is not the point. Read the info, get inspired and help us make this play into an amazing reality for Los Angeles theatre! |
