Trains!, love that whistle
Trains have been a part of our lives for over 150 years. From when the first concieved plan by The Central Pacific and The Union Pacific planned to create a railroad from the Missouri River bluffs to Sacramento in 1862. On May 10th, 1869, the two railroads met at Promontory Point, Utah, where their tracks were joined, and the last tie laid.

From there the history of the Railroad exploded and the interest in Railroads have continued until today.

From the narrow gauge railroad to the streamlined trains in europe. We have seen an explosion of different type trains for almost every need mankind needs.

Toy train sets have been popular since almost the first trains started running and is one of the largest hobbies around.

Scenic rides on trains through the mountains is an experience thousands of tourists have enjoyed and will continue enjoying.

Riding the Amtrak across country leaves memories few will forget. Being able to sleep and eat on the Amtrak is a great experience. All will enjoy it.

All people have thier memories of trains, I especially like to sit here and hear the train whistle as it goes through town. Especially liked the steam whistle when was a boy.

Trains are wonderful.... To travel by train is to see nature and human beings, towns and churches and rivers, in fact, to see life.
- Agatha Christie, 1890 - 1976
