Keeper of My Soul
Psalm 121
I Peter 1:3-5

by Michelle Stace

When my fears abound, His strength is there to calm;
His promises are sure, even in the storm.
There's none on earth or in heaven
That I desire more
than Jesus,  Keeper of my soul.

When I put my hand in His and
Let Him take me where He will, I am at rest.
When I follow the Life, the Truth, the Way,
I am free and I am blessed
by Jesus,  Keeper of my soul.

When I shame Him, He loves me still,
And when unfaithful, He remains the same.
When I run from Him,
He brings me back again.
How can I doubt Jesus,  Keeper of my soul?

He only can melt my icey heart
and take away the dross;
His river of love flows through me
as He takes me to the cross
. . . O Jesus,  Keeper of my soul.

His love for me knows no bounds,
and has no ending.
He gave His life, His all
for one so unworthy.
Such love! Such love! gives Jesus,  Keeper of my soul.

And what have I to give to Him,
Who gave the gift of gifts?
All I have I give . . .
My heart, my mind, my hands, my will,
to Sweet Jesus,  Keeper of my soul.
