What is Equine-Assisted Therapy?
Equine Assisted Therapy workshops offer a unique
experience. Participants learn about themselves and others by
participating in activities with horses and then processing (discussing) feelings, behaviors and patterns.
Equine-Assisted Therapy:

Promotes change from a unhealthy patterns to
successful ones
Sessions at Walking in Grace

Family Workshops are geared for families who would
like to learn about communication skills, relationships and family dynamics,
self-care, parenting, fun and play. Workshops are for parents and
children 10 years old and up, providing a multi-family experience where
families learn from each other and offer support and encouragement.

Weekly Sessions may be tailored to meet your
individual group needs. This setting is beneficial for agencies, small
therapy groups, aftercare groups and team-building for all ages. Areas
of focus can be communication skills, trust-building, risk-taking,
problem-solving, leadership or well-being. Two hour sessions meet with a
maximum of 8 participants for 5 weeks.

Weekend Workshops enable individuals to stay at
a local camp and participate in Equine-Assisted Therapy. This allows
them to experience therapy on a deeper level, away from the
distractions of everyday life. Contact Laura at 342-0478 for the
next scheduled weekend workshop. Two-day and four-day programs are
available.

Half-Day and All-Day workshops may be developed to
meet the needs of your specific situation. Half-day and all-day
workshops can be scheduled to allow for more in-depth awareness and
insights.

Individual Sessions may be scheduled at any
time. Individual and family sessions may be
scheduled.
Physical and emotional safety are of primary concern
with these workshops. Experience or prior knowledge of horses is NOT
required.
